The story behind the photograph - contest entry

Some of you perhaps recognize the footage from my To the summit of Mera Peak video. This was my first ever attempt to shoot video on my travels. Initially this movie was created for Fujifilm Mirrorless video contest (thats why the branding at the end of the video). I thought the small section with little Rongbu Sherpa would be a perfect fit for this. So I went ahead and did a quick re-edit. Video shows what led to a moment when I took one of my favourite photographs. I spent whole day with this little Sherpa at Thangnak village in Himalayas. We stopped there to acclimatise to the altitude and it was perfect opportunity to get to know the locals. It happened to be little Rongbu Sherpa who had most of free time at hand :)

It was fun and good learning process. Footage is not perfect and very shaky, but I tried to make the most of it. For editing I used DaVinci Resolve 12 (public beta). I learned the software on this little project. I quite like I could do editing and grading in one application.  Credit for music goes to Kevin MacLeod, It is licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0,
